Targeted traffic cops get eight new gadgets- The New Indian Specific

CHENNAI: Increased Chennai law enforcement commissioner Shankar Jiwal dispersed 8 contemporary gadgets worthy of Rs 98.62 lakh, which include two interceptor motor vehicles, to the targeted traffic police on Wednesday.

He stated it is a single of the initiatives under the Rs 10 crore spending budget from the Street Basic safety Fund. The police will also devote Rs 10 lakh on recognition below the street security education scheme.

“We are collaborating with the corporation to teach school college students on street basic safety and close to 600 little ones will be associated in road targeted traffic checking and identical activities to generate recognition about street basic safety each 7 days,” reported Commissioner Jiwal. The two interceptor autos have a 360-degree automatic selection plate reading (ANPR) digicam on the roof and are the initial of its type in South India.
